    Qué llevar

Since the weather in a mountain environment can make for "four seasons in one day", a layer-system has long since proven itself and should consist aideally of the follwing:always bring the following:

      • A 15-25 liter backpack which doubles up at carry-on for your flights and holds your water bottle, phone as well as extra layers or spare clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses and more. For warm and sunny days, consider how much protection your clothing will provide against the sun's ultraviolet rays while still keeping you cool. For rain and possible inclement weather, pack an extra layer or two beyond what you're wearing. And don't overlook being comfortable!
      • Moisture-wicking underwear or base layer
      • Moisture-wicking shirts or light fleece of 100 -150gr/sqm
      • Quick-drying pants, shorts during summer months and long johns during late fall and winter season
      • Long-sleeve shirts - consider additional protection for UV rays and bugs. Short-sleeve shirts or Polo shirts are great in summer and work also well during midday in spring and early fall
      • Puffy vest ( synthetic or natural down)
      • Medium- to heavyweight long sleeve fleece or jacket
      • Trekking socks, preferably wool or synthetic material
      • Rainwear (jacket and pants) which can ideally be added for cold weather, wind chill protection as outermost layer
      • Warm, insulated (down or synthetic down) exterior jacket
      • Gloves, ideally wind- and waterproof
      • Fleece or wool beanie cap, in addition to baseball cap with shade
      • Bandana or neck gaiter to seal off cold winds or dust
      • In exclusively dry weather conditions throughout, trail-running shoes are lightweight, comfortable and perfectly suitable. Under all other conditions, hiking boots protecting your ankles and ideally waterproof or -resistant are a must. Make sure to break your footwear in BEFORE you travel!
